You know how the Washington Nationals have the racing Presidents with the ridiculously gigantic heads? Couldn’t we do something similar with King William and Queen Mary? I mean I’m not even sure what they really look like, but giant heads are always a hit.
Good idea on the giant William and Mary mascots, Barb! It’s a simple, meaningful and funny link to the College- important traits when you consider its duties. I am encouraged to see the Committee launch a (seemingly) open process of accepting mascot ideas from alumni. My only hope is that they will complete the project without resorting to the personal interests and political correctness that haunts most of our public relations initiatives.
Uh, I don’t recall being asked my opinion as to whether W&M needs an mascot at all. All this effort would be better spent harassing the Washing Post into covering a championship-caliber football team that’s much closer to home than their darlings from Tech.
Really, I think mascots are silly.
